Part of my big 2022 goal is to push furth and further into 3D animation. I love Cinema4D and motion design, but there's always been this lingering desire to try character animation and learn a little bit of Maya. I joined a short CGMA class taught by Lukas Niklaus from Animal Logic and started thinking more critically about performance and appeal in my animations.
This is just a bouncing ball, but there is so much emotion that can be brought out in a ball bounce that I hadn't thought about through motion graphics. Getting that feedback was huge and I think it made a nice little shot because of it. I'll continue pushing to use Maya and think more critically about my animations because of it.
Take a look! I hope you enjoy it.
